The caves extend for about 3.3 km and reach a maximum depth of 122 meters from the surface.
The visit takes place through expert guides who can lead you to the discovery of these environments characterized by stalactites, stalagmites, canyons and cavities with imaginative names.
Those who want to visit the Castellana Caves can choose between two itineraries, a complete one about 3 km long which lasts 100 minutes and another “partial” one which allows you to cover a 1km long route lasting 50 minutes. The cost of the ticket varies according to the type of itinerary. For the excursion it is advisable to wear clothing suitable for the temperature of the subsoil and sneakers or shoes with flat rubber soles.
